			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As we head into the weekend, I found an unusual story today: <a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/7228859.stm" target="_blank">jumpers for chickens</a>.</p>
<p>It has to be said, that these are no ordinary chickens &#8211; having been rescued from a life as battery hens.  As such they have bald patches, which have been covered up by the knitted jumpers.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a fascinating idea, keeping the birds warm in this way.  What will they think of next!</p>
